Sandi and I had to go to the Barking Lot today for our “fluff and fold,” our bi-weekly grooming. The folks at the Barking Lot tied these green scarves with shamrocks on them — so it must be St. Patrick’s Day! Happy St. Patrick’s day to all my blog friends and have a green Harp beer for me!
The big news here at the William Miller House Bed and Breakfast is that Chef Mike has found a local farm for his bacon, sausage, and eggs. When they’re cooking in the morning, the bacon and sausage smell mighty good! Our guests say the eggs are full of flavor and are bright yellow. I don’t know about the “yellow” part, I only see shades of gray. I have noticed that the platters coming back to the kitchen are emptier – no sausage or bacon. I heard our guests this morning say that they could taste the difference. I wouldn’t know about that; I’m not allowed to eat sausage or bacon.
But, I understand that a trip to Keenbell Farms to see CJ and the gang, as well as the farm, is in the planning stages and, maybe, I’ll get to go.
Oops, I’ve got to run; it’s time to visit with our guests during the wine social hour. In fact, I happen to be late. But, tomorrow the temperature will be in the 70’s which means porch-sitting at last!
