The Virginia Green Industry Council is hosting a Go Green Garden Festival at the Science Museum of Virginia (2500 W Broad St, Richmond, Virginia) on Saturday September 11, 2010 from 9 AM to 4 PM. Event takes place “rain or shine,” since it takes place on the old tracks! There’s plenty of FREE PARKING! Be a champion for the environment and show your commitment to going green! There will be a wide choice of shrubs, perennials, house plants and fall color for sale. Experts will be on hand to share Green Living wisdom through exhibits and tours. A wide variety of garden design, gardening products and landscape services will be available. Between 9AM and 11AM, catch a live radio broadcast of “In the Garden” with Andre Viette, noted Virginia garden expert. Other experts will be on hand to answer your fall lawn and garden questions to assist you and your garden after this difficult summer. Kids will have opportunities for fun: kids’ Go Green activities, Food, Music, Crafts, and Fun all day. There will be raffles and door prizes.
