The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is winding down its noted exhibition titled “Picasso: Masterpieces from The Musee National Picasso, Paris.” The exhibition officially closes on May 15, 2011 and the museum has extended its weekend hours on Friday May 13th and Saturday May 14th until midnight! This is the largest and most significant exposition of this contemporary artist’s work with examples from each of Picasso’s major artistic periods – and all of it from Pablo Picasso’s personal collection. The over 175 pieces are on loan from the Musee National Picasso, Paris which is undergoing renovations at this time.
