Fireworks in Richmond: Round 2

Richmond's Fireworks: Both July 3 and July 4

In addition to Richmond’s fireworks display at Dogwood Dell on July 4th, July 3 brings fireworks to  the James River bringing two nights of fireworks and fun this weekend. These new fireworks are bound to be a great event.  The fireworks display, designed by the famed pyrotechnicians from Grucci, will be sited so as to be visible from 360 degrees. Families will be able to see the display from just about anywhere. MORE INFO.

The Lee bridge will be closed from 5 PM to 11 PM when  two flatbeds stacked with fireworks will be stationed in the middle of the bridge. Fireworks should begin around 9:30 PM and extend a little over a half hour.

Fun starts earlier 7:30 in the evening with free entertainment on Brown’s Island with SPARC, Richmond Ballet’s Minds in Motion, and the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra. This fireworks production by Venture Richmond is produced thanks to the generosity of Dominion Resources and MeadWestVaCo.

And, don’t forget the 4th of July’s fireworks at Dogwood Dell – two nights in row! What could be better!  A patriotic weekend in the Capitol City on the James River!
